  • Spring is our most unpredictable season as it’s entirely dependent on the spring weather. Early to mid-April is our average but if we’re having a colder spring, we’ve opened later in April. A good guide to when we’re going to open is to watch for the announcement of predicted peak bloom of the Cherry Blossoms by the National Park Service. We normally open the Festival of Spring about one week after peak bloom of the Cherry Blossoms. Our spring season then lasts about 3 weeks, again, depending on the weather.

  • Peak bloom varies from season to season and usually depends on planting dates and what our most recent weather has been. We recommend checking our field report page, Facebook or Instagram for the most up-to-date pictures and current information.

  • We have a step-by-step guide on how we pick spring and summer flowers here- GUIDE

  • We have baskets you may borrow for spring and summer seasons but you may bring your own. We offer snips to borrow for the summer season only but you may bring your own.

  • This is a difficult question and really depends on the capability of the person(s) visiting and the limitations of the particular disability.

We are a production farm and as such, we have no paved surfaces. Parking is in a grass field and the flowers are on open acres of farmland. Terrain can be bumpy at times and depending on our most recent rain, it may be wet, soft or muddy in spots. Also, the proximity of the flowers to the check-in area changes depending on the crop we’re growing, and the time of that particular season. Sometimes the flowers are close, and other times they’re a 5-10 minute walk from our check-in area.

We offer marked handicapped parking spaces close to our entrance and we have handicapped accessible restrooms.

We continue to explore options in order to improve accessibility so all visitors may easily access the flowers.

  • No. The farm is ONLY open to the public during our Festival of Spring and Summer of Sunflowers. Please check our website or social media channels for the most up-to-date information regarding our operating hours.
