ALL BULB SALES ARE PRE-ORDERS. Orders placed today will be shipped or ready for pickup during the last week of October and the first week of November 2025. We will email a shipping confirmation with a tracking number when they ship, or we will notify you when they’re ready for pickup in early November.

May 2nd, 2025: Important Tulip Bulb Pricing Update
Since opening The Bulb Shop on April 1, tulip bulb prices in the Netherlands have surged by an unexpected 30%. This sharp increase is driven by several key factors: global demand for tulip bulbs is at an all-time high, the Dutch bulb industry is still recovering from two consecutive poor growing seasons, and the U.S. dollar has declined 6% against the euro since January. A broader market correction may also be underway, as tulip bulbs have historically been undervalued given the labor and resources required to grow them.
As a result, our bulb prices increased effective May 2, 2025. If you placed your order before May 2, you’ve already locked in our lowest pricing.
In addition, U.S. tariffs on European exports were briefly introduced on April 9, 2025, then paused a few days later until July 14, 2025. If these tariffs are reinstated, bulb costs could rise another 10–15%. Any orders placed before that time will not be affected by additional increases. This isn’t a sales pitch—it’s a practical heads-up. We do not support tariffs on our European trading partners. This isn’t a political stance; we simply believe free trade is essential to a strong, modern global economy.
We remain committed to offering exceptional value for premium bulbs. All of our bulbs are the same top-size (12+ cm) varieties we plant in our own flower fields—larger bulbs that produce bigger, more vibrant blooms. Even with the recent price increase, tulip bulbs remain an affordable and easy way to bring early, magical color to your spring landscape.
You don’t have to buy your bulbs from us—but we genuinely want the best for you and your garden. Please be cautious of companies offering bulbs at unusually low prices. In most cases, they’re selling undersized bulbs, which yield smaller, less impressive flowers. Always check the product description for bulb size and be sure you're purchasing size 12+ cm bulbs for the best results.
